“All aboard the startup train!” Three members of the ICE team were lucky to attend this year’s International Startup Fest in Montreal: Nathan Monk, Ryan Poissant and Leona Teixeira and travelled to the conference in true startup style.
Those travelling from Toronto boarded the “startup train” – one train car of the train solely dedicated to starting up (pun intended) the conference, and included a DJ, a pitch competition and powerpoint kareoke.
Here are the winners of the startup competitions (a couple wins for MaRS!):
1. $50k seed capital, syndicate lead: Chris Arsenault
Based in Montreal, Jingronix is a physiotherapy platform for patients to augment their therapy (often very boring) with animated and interactive video sessions integrated with your medical records
2. Founder Fuel Fall Cohort Winner

3. Teen’s Pick
MaRS clients: StoryPanda and Foodo

Internation Startup Fest (hashtag #startupfest) is a definite “must-attend” event for Canadian startups and we can’t wait to go back next year!
